Born in 1958 in Athens (Greece), Dr. Dimitri Koutsomanis graduated from the Medical School of Freiburg/Br. (Germany) in 1983.

Between 1983 and 1986 he studied Psychology and Social Sciences at the University of Strasbourg (France).

After qualifying in Gastroenterology, he worked as Clinical Assistant and Research Fellow at St.Mark's Hospital ( London-England )  between 1991 and 1994.

His research concerned the treatment of Intractable Constipation with Biofeedback, a method of reeducation of the pelvic floor musculature.

Since 1994, Dr. Koutsomanis is Consultant Gastroenterologist and Chief at the General Hospital of Fecamp in Normandy (France).

He has worked on the effects of Hypnosis and Autogenous Training in the treatment of IBS.

He is International Member of the American College of Gastroenterology
and President of SOS PROCTOS
